Kris and Jayna Lyle will soon complete their first year of of schooling at Stellenbosch University in Cape Town, South Africa. That will only leave one more year until Kris completes his Master's program in biblical languages and Jayna completes her Master's program in sociology. Kris, a former biblical languages student of Jamie's, ventured out to South Africa with his wife to study under one of the world's leading biblical linguists.

God has been faithful to this couple during their first year in supplying for their school fees, a place to live, and people to serve. Not yet having the responsibilities of a job or children, Kris and Jayna have been blessed with the opportunity to concentrate on their studies and their relationships. They have experienced tremendous transformation as they not only learn about God's Word, but live it out among those around them.

Kris and Jayna look forward to the year ahead, but not without concern. Please continue to pray with us for the Lyles.

Kris and Jayna continue to strive to fulfill their roles as a godly husband and wife. Pray that they would come to love each other more, bearing with one another in forgiveness and patience, and that they would learn to cherish their differing temperaments. Please also pray for Kris to keep diligent and passionate in his pursuit to know God better through biblical languages. And before long, Kris and Jayna will need to consider what's next.
