In moving from Edinburgh, Scotland to Houston I believed that God was calling me to start and direct a biblical languages program at HBU.  Since the honeymoon wore off, I've often wondered if I've missed God's calling.  Little university administrative support wears me down, year after year.  Requests to join other university and seminary faculties have come and gone.  I've decided time and again to wait on our Lord.  While my HBU students testify that God is working through our efforts, I have often wondered if my life is being best spent.

We thank God that recently He has brought me 2 new HBU colleagues who share my passion for the teaching of biblical languages, Phillip Marshall and Will Rutherford.  In bringing us to 3 teaching biblical languages, God has empowered HBU to offer a new MA in Biblical Languages that launches this month.  You can read about HBU's new MA in Biblical Languages at:
